Markex 2016

Markex 2016 welcomes 40 new exhibitors!

Markex 2016 is set to be fresher and more focused than ever before, a sentiment underlined by the fact that this year’s show has welcomed 40 new exhibitors on board. The targeted promotional product expo is running from 6 to 7 July at the conveniently located Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Among the new faces at this year’s show is Swarovski, the global leader in cut crystal and fashion jewellery, which will be featuring its high-end corporate gifts, from fashion jewellery and accessories, a unisex collection, a Christmas collection, items for the home and office, to a range of corporate awards.

With a strong focus on the environment, Smart Water Solutions will have a working Smart Waterpebble display on view at the expo. Voted by Time magazine as one of the top ten gadgets to save the planet, the Smart Waterpebble uses a simple traffic light system, encouraging shorter shower times and saving on water and energy. Designed to be recycled, it is eco packaged, making for a very unique, eco-friendly corporate gift.

Swiss sewing and embroidery machine manufacturer, Bernina will be showcasing the innovative Melco EMT industrial embroidery system. Technologically advanced in every facet of its design and manufacture, the EMT machine features a fully operational modular system that allows users to grow production capacity as sales increase, as well as a tensioning system that operates on a pre-feed basis, helping speed up the embroidery process by up to 40 percent. Add to this the fact that the Melco EMT can embroider on pockets whilst they are still attached to garment, and you have a winning formula for all embroidering needs.

Fizz Promotions is introducing a first for South Africa at this year’s Markex: the PopSocket; a phone grip and phone stand accessory for mobile devices that expands and collapses by way of an accordion mechanism. PopSockets “pop” whenever a phone grip, a phone stand or a headset management system is needed.

Dedicated Freight & Trading, which caters for the three most essential areas in a home environment for the hospitality industry, namely the bedroom (linen, duvets, inners/ pillows, protectors and curtaining), the bathroom, (bathmats/sets and towels) and the kitchen (hollowware and accessories), will be running a promotion for the duration of the show, where Markex visitors can save on combo sets across all sizes for fitted and flat sheets in polycotton and 100 percent cotton percale – don’t miss out!
