JSE listed Adapt IT Group announced in Durban on 26 October 2012 the appointment of Craig Chambers, as its Chairman due to the statutory resignation of Dr Bernard Ravno, who has served on the Adapt IT board since 2003 and has been Chairman since 2009.

Adapt IT Group CEO, Sbu Shabalala says the company sincerely appreciates Dr Ravno’s input over the past nine years: “Dr Ravno has over 31 years of experience in the sugar industry and has been an unwavering support during the Group’s formative years.  We are grateful to him and wish him well.”

Adapt IT non-executive lead director since 2011, Craig Chambers, replaced Dr Ravno with immediate effect and brings over 15 years of financial management experience.  With its stated organic and acquisitive growth plans, the Group will do well under the chairmanship of Chambers, who sees his new role as a privilege and exciting venture.

“I have observed the Adapt IT management team do a sterling job over the past 18 months, implementing a strategy to acquire businesses and ensure solid organic growth.  I look forward to being an active part of its plans to grow into a significant force within the local IT industry.”

Further changes to the board, include the appointment of Thembisa Dingaan, as the chair of Remuneration and Nominations committee.  Dingaan was first appointed to the board in May 201, as an independent non-executive director.
