BBQ apology to the National Empowerment Fund [Byline] Sibulele Siko-Shosha
The story published in our 2010 first quarter issue on the National Empowerment Fund’s brilliant initiative to further assist in the upliftment and growth of black entrepreneurs, while narrowing the economic divide had an element of incorrectness. On page 60 of the current BBQ on stands now the article states that the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) has approved over R1.8 billion, while in fact they have approved over R684 billion towards ensuring the long-term success of black business today.

BBQ would like to apologise to the NEF for this oversight while commending and endorsing this phenomenal endeavour. Initiatives that ensure the viability and sustainability of black business are what make up the soul of Black Business Quarterly.
On that note,I would like to announce that the readers can get to find out more about the great work that is being done by the NEF and its CEO Philisiwe Buthelezi in our upcoming June 2010 issue as Ms. Buthelezi will be gracing our cover.
