She was previously the chief officer of mergers and acquisitions at the Vodacom Group, and her impeccable professional reputation has gained her great respect within the business fraternity.

Born in the North West Province on 23 March 1957, Edna Bomo Molewa started out as a teacher at the Moloto and Makaunyane Secondary Schools between 1976 and 1981. Her involvement in the liberation movement would later awaken possibilities she never thought imaginable.

nolunthando_optA new ministry for a minister dedicated to the empowerment of women

Following the April general election, Noluthando Mayende-Sibiya was appointed minister of the newly formed Ministry for Women, Youth, Children and People with Disabilities. She hails from KwaZulu-Natal and trained as a professional nurse, serving at the Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital from 1985 to 2007, where she was later promoted to chief professional nurse.
